Nude Figure Studies

During the 1980s and 90s Padam made these large figure studies in consort with his sculpting career . They are all painted with acrylic on tempered masonite ranging in size from 61cm X 122cm for each of the 4 nude male images in the top row, then 122cm X 122cm for each of the 2 images of female nudes in the second row and 122cm X 244cm for The Wrestlers in the last row. He had access to wonderful models including Russell Bateman ( model and figure drawing instructor at both the Emily Carr School of Art and Basic Inquiry both in Vancouver B.C.), Ross Moyse, Sharon Bell and Cliff Mooney who was skilled in wrestling techniques.
