During Wiseman's stay in Germany, his father, Michael Herbert Wiseman, passed away at the age of 65.

This surreal multimedia work, "Tribute to My Father", produced in Vancouver in 1976, is dedicated to his memory. The work consists of three pieces, a painting and two bronze sculptures, to be assembled in collage.
